The great outdoors in Northern Saskatchewan is a fantastic way to release you and your family from the endless, busy routine of everyday, modern living. Let CanAm Outfitters help immerse you in the lush tranquility of the north, a place that can offer both contentment and adrenaline fueled adventure.

We can offer you almost everything you need to have the perfect trip. You will need to bring tackle, camera, clothing (including rain gear, just in case), personal items, thermos, cooler (to take home the fish you catch) and the whole family.

There are many ways anyone can enjoy the CanAm experience:

Heated Cabins

Heated, modern and semi-modern log cabins give you a place to rest your head after soaking up the outdoor experience. We supply the bedding and the towels, and clean the room. After all, you're on vacation! Satellite colour television and modern bathrooms and showers provide you with the comforts of home even while you're surrounded by nature's beauty. Join us in our dining room for home-cooked meals.

Services

Our base camp facilities provide a number of services you may require while staying with us, including phone and fax, laundry, coffee shop, gas, diesel, propane, confectionary and tackle shop. If you need it, or forgot it at home, chances are we can help you out.

Fishing

You enjoy, relax and fish! We move, haul equipment, tend your cabin, prepare and serve your meals and shore lunch, fillet, freeze, package and label your catch, and take you to the finest fishing spots each morning!

Northern Saskatchewan has fish, and they come big. Whitefish, burbot, perch, lake trout, northern pike and the famed, reclusive walleye are the fish you will find in the lakes around Brabant Lake . Drive-in fishing ensures the whole family can easily experience the joy and peacefulness of lake fishing. Local guides will show you the best places to cast your line, offering, as well, information about the lakes and surrounding land. Lunch along a majestic shoreline or on a secluded island will give you a moment of quiet reflection during the expedition. Discover for yourself why people from all corners of the world travel to Northern Saskatchewan to fish our lakes, many of which are very remote, assuring total privacy and seclusion.

A filleting house is available for you to use. Have your daily catch filleted for that evening's supper. Fish tastes best when you've caught it yourself. Cook your catch and have an outdoor meal, taking in nature's very own show; the whispering wind, songs of the loon and a breathtaking sunset. Finish your evening under the star filled heavens.

Hunting

Local guides will lead you to the kings of the North; moose and bear. Hunt in the natural, splendid beauty of Northern Saskatchewan 's Boreal forest.

Boating

You will never find yourself without a spot to paddle a canoe or boat. Travel the lakes and rivers that have made Northern Saskatchewan famous. CanAm Outfitters rents canoes and boats; we even provide the life jackets and paddles. If you can handle the pleasant chill of the waters, feel free to dive right in. Fresh water never felt so good.

Winter Adventure

Our base camp facilities are open year round. Come visit us during the winter months and experience our groomed ski trails. Brabant Lake has about 20 km of the finest wilderness cross-country skiing in the province. The community itself holds an annual ski loppet.

Brabant Lake in the winter is also the perfect spot for skidooing. Our trails aren't groomed, which means you'll cut your own path and explore nature on your own terms.

Looking for a little peace? You will certainly find it on the frozen surface of our waterways with an afternoon of ice fishing. You bring the rod, the tackle and the thermos of hot chocolate; nature will take care of the rest.

There's nothing more peaceful and stunning than the Northern wilderness hushed by winter's white embrace.
